How We Protect Your Information: A Secure Site and a Secure Data Environment

While no security system is 100% guaranteed, YouDecide utilizes several stateof-the-art tools to protect your information. Strict security measures are employed whenever member or provider data is collected and transmitted.

Security Over the Internet

When you enter sensitive information (such as Social Security Number) on our web site, YouDecide utilizes an Internet security technology known as a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to help protect your information. The "s" in the "https" address of YouDecide.com's Web pages, as well as the browser security notices displayed by Chrome and Internet Explorer, indicate that SSL is in use. YouDecide also employs 256-bit encryption, which means that your information is transmitted over the Internet as a meaningless string of characters. Even if your information were intercepted over the Internet, it would not be understood. If you have any questions about security on our Web site, you can contact us at info@youdecide.com.

Security Audits and Standards

Although we cannot guarantee the security of any data that is transmitted over the Internet, YouDecide utilizes all technology within our means to protect your information. To help achieve this objective, YouDecide routinely commissions third-party security audits to make sure member information is safe from prying eyes. YouDecide employs services from Comodo, a company that sets strict standards for conducting secure communications and transactions over the Internet.

Secured Transmission of Your Information to Provider Companies

We transmit your information to Provider Companies through a dedicated and secured network. Transmissions containing personal data are encrypted.

Firewall Protection

Once we have your information, we store it in a secure database behind a "firewall." A firewall is simply a software and hardware product that limits access by outside computers. Only authorized YouDecide personnel have access to this information.

Password (PIN) and Username Verification

An additional step to protect your information is the use of a unique username and password (or "PIN") for each individual member. This helps prevent someone from entering the site, pretending to be you, and reading your information.

Should you ever forget your PIN, we will first verify your identity and then send an email to the registered e-mail address with a temporary password. After logging in with that temporary password, you will be prompted to change your password.
